| Introduction | I used to think that holiness was about growing in perfection. I have now come to see that holiness is growing in my awareness of how much I need God. I have my own ideas of how I am going to "control" my life, my loved ones, my situations, but I have tasted the freedom and JOY that comes from hoping in God's ways. My way of controlling things and relying on myself is exhausting. Because I am so weak, so helpless, thinking I know best and wanting to be in control, Christ introduced me to His Mother. Because She is all that I am not. She is humble. She is full of grace. She desires to do God's will. She trusts God. She knows Her Son. She knows that He is Love. And She can lead me to Him much faster if I allow Her to carry me in Her arms, than if I were to stumble along on my own. |
