| Introduction | A near death drowning expereince as a youngster set the foundation for my interests in the mystical and the larger questions asking myself who am i? What is consciousness? Are human experiences purely rooted in the neural chemistry of the brain? I've spent a lifetime investigating art and architecture, myth, psychology, quantum physics, ancient cultures, history and religions. I've experienced many forms of spiritual initiations and my thoughts and reflections are poured back into my transpersonal visual speculations. My fine art rejects late 20th century art that is largely rooted in the banal, in materialism and shock. I favour light and intentional transformative significance reflecting Aristotle's view that "the aim of art is to represent not the outward appearance of things, but rather their inward significance. It is truly the transcendental that most interests me. My work has been sold in many local galleries and has been sold across Canada in Europe and Japan. My original work is usually presented with bold colours and is energetic, transformative and mystical. |
