| Introduction | After almost 30 years as a bar band musician struggling to 'make it' in the business, I crashed and burned - serious health problems, depression, addiction to alcohol, tobacco, porn, overwork... The blessing in that crash was that it brought me to really look at myself and my life. I began to re-discover the joy of writing and playing music from my true heart, and completed a working draft of 'Searching For Daddy', a Broadway-style musical based on my childhood and adolescence. Searching For Daddy has been an absolutely amazing journey of healing for me, essentially re-writing my whole understanding of my father, mother and step-mother, and producing some truly beautiful and compelling music. I am now working on a 20 minute video demo of Searching For Daddy, primarily for use as a community building and fund raising tool to get the stage production rolling. I'm working with a wonderful production team, and am looking forward more than I can say to seeing the fulfillment of this work. |
