| Introduction | Welcome to FURthermore--Tails from the Front. I've been practicing veterinary medicine for over twenty years and joking for almost as long about writing a book, perhaps in the fashion of the beloved James Alfred Wight, better know by his pen name, James Herriot. For years my working title has been "There's a Horse in My Basement" which, as you might imagine, is rather a long story. However, at the request of someone very dear to me, I've decided to start with something shorter and share some of my amusing, amazing, and often absurd encounters...many of them with animals but many more with their humans. | Favorite Music | My musical interests not only defy classification but, according to some, good sense. I have been known to listen to bagpipes ON PURPOSE, and stun and mortify my teens by singing along with something much too current not to be theirs exclusively.
