IntroductionEvery catastrophe has served to strengthen my childhood resolve to never have regrets. My brother Father and sister all died before I was 16. Nevertheless I lived a happy childhood in Wales,N. Ireland and Chester, England. My love of sport finally led me to Germany in 1985 to train in Wild Water Canoe Slalom. As an active part of a dynamic local church my whole family of Joachim, Jan-Christian (22) and Jenny (20) is involved in being Christians in the local and global community. Closest to my heart is the abolition of the modern slave trade through an organisation we've grounded called Hope for Freedom (www.HopeForFreedom.de)

Your people want to make a statue in your honor. What will it be made out of and what victory will it commemorate?

The statue would be out of chains and would commemorate the end of modern slavery.
