Introduction	I am among 15% of the public in my 'solid liberal views.' I have been lucky enough to be raised in an increasingly more liberal city, which had a slight impact on my world views. Having experienced hardships, specifically regarding my health, I am more sympathetic towards those lacking proper healthcare than most other people I know. So far, I have not been eligible to be an active voter and have done little work in public. However, I do stay informed by watching the news, reading articles, and having educated discussions with peers and family. I am planning on becoming a government major at UT and have had a great interest in political issues. I hope to be able to gain knowledge on both non-partisan and partisan issues and be able to hold more in-depth conversation about issues and perhaps bring about some change in my community. I earned a 100% in the 'current events' quiz, and a 90% in 'civic literacy.'
