Introduction	Phyllis has been teaching sewing and pattern making for over 35 years. Prior to immigrating to Australia in 1994 she wrote five books on sewing, overlocking, pattern-making, machine embroidery and machine knitting. Three of those books were published in Australia, Easy Pattern making, Sew Easy and Overlocked Clothes to wear. Sewing and craft have always filled her life. In 2004 she stumbled upon Felting and took to it with great passion. She says that it is wonderful after all these years of sewing and craft to feel such passion for a technique that pulls together all her other interests. Felt is terrific to stitch and embroider. The list of things you can make and do with felt is endless. She has recently published a book called Felted Vests. This book combines her knowledge of sewing pattern making and felting to create wonderful personalised vests to fit any shape body.
