| Introduction | the Totally Rad Book Club was founded by Sam and Sally almost three years ago because we both separately had been searching for a good book club, but found all the good ones (run by the good book stores) had no openings and long waiting lists. We also found the book clubs we could get a spot in were filled with women who were much older than us, which is fine, but we feared they just wouldn't be reading the kinds of books we wanted to read, or be having the kinds of conversations we wanted to have. So we decided to start our own! Book Club has just gained strength as we have gone along and is now a favorite day of the month for the nine guys and girls who are members. We've lost a couple of people along the way, and were very sad to see Tegan, Zowie and Alix go, but they were replaced by awesome friends who have all brought unique and interesting perspectives to our monthly catch ups. Long live book club! |
