| Introduction | It's the opposite of suburbia. Canyons of towering concrete with barely a glimpse of sky. Trains and buses that don't run. People who can't drive. Cabs practicing for Le Mans. Chauffeur-driven black Esplanades, awaiting x-ray think socialites, double-parked. People talking too loudly on the crosstown bus. And too many damn banks and drug stores. It's stressful, costly, and noisy. Listen up. You can almost hear the sirens wailing. |
