| Introduction | I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science and a Certificate in Spanish Language and Area Study at Michigan Technological University, a Master's of Education from the University of Virginia, and an additional secondary education endorsement in Social Studies from Baker College of Cadillac. I have taught middle school and high school math in Virginia, on campus and online courses at Kirtland Community College, math and science courses at Houghton Lake High school, on campus and dual-enrollment courses at Houghton Lake High School and Marion High School for Baker College of Cadillac, high school math at McBain High School, and Title 1 math at McBain Middle School. In addition to teaching, I am very active in my church, Boy Scout Troop 40, Cub Scout Pack 86, and enjoy reading and watching sports. |
| Interests | I have three boys who are very active in school, sports, and scouts. My interests these days are mostly in the "transportation and finance" realm. |
| Favorite movies | I don't get to watch movies at the theater much, but I like action/thriller movies the most. I cannot stand horror movies; the last and only one I have ever watched was Silence of the Lambs. I could not ride in elevators for a month! As for TV, I like to watch Bones and Flashpoint, as well as sappy Hallmark Channel Christmas and Valentines day movies. |
| Favorite music | Country and Western, Christian |
| Favorite books | Anything by Nora Roberts, J.D. Robb, Kathy Reichs, |
