| Introduction | I was born & raised in a traditional Christian family, but from a young age I wanted to know what I was practicing. My desire to know more of God brought me to read the Bible more intently. I started seeking God & his will during a tumultuous period in my life. I started recognizing Christianity was not a religion, but a relationship. From a young age I used to be in constant rebellion with every thing that came in my way that prevented me from obtaining my desires & goals. I believed that I could do everything my way, but the reality of life made me realize my foolishness. I was destined to be lost forever, with no hope in sight. My life on this earth was just a breath away from eternal damnation. However, it was on Feb 24, 1995 when I accepted the resurrection of Jesus from his death on the cross. I started to accept this wonderful relationship. My God was no longer living far away, he was right there walking & talking with me. Jesus was helping me do things that I could not have done myself. Jesus said "I am the way & the truth & the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” John 14:6, made me recognize that my life had a hope. |
