| Introduction | I am the daughter of an Army Colonel from Kentucky, who was of Irish and Shawnee descent. My Russian mother was born in Harbin, China and raised in Shanghai. With my parents and three siblings, I spent my formative years living in many parts of the U.S. and the globe. I'm grateful for a broadened perspective regarding the world's varied cultures. I now live near the Jersey Shore with my husband and three children. My main goal for the past 21 years has been dedicated to raising them. I am fulfilled! I've been a poet since I was a child, but years of alcoholic drinking robbed my creative spirit. I've been in recovery for some time now and my spirit has returned home. |
