| Introduction | I have always been enamoured of the past. When I was a child growing up in a modern 1950's ranch house, I dreamed of the farmhouse I walked by everyday from school. We lived in a small neighborhood still surrounded by farm land. My friends and I picked field daisies by the bunches, wove crowns, & plucked petals, "He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not". I met my husband as a senior in High School. He shared my romantic notions, proposing seven years later at our favorite park, complete with a picnic lunch he packed himself & a seven year old bottle of wine - (that we were saving for a special occasion). A year and a half later, we toasted with a bottle of Dom Perignon on the back porch of our 98 year old Victorian House. It is an ongoing "Work In Progress", pretty much how I would describe my life. We share our little bit of heaven with 50 or so fish - (outside), & three cats - Tasha, Micky, & Pee Wee. |
