IntroductionI am a mixed media artist, photographer, and writer. I am inspired daily by nature. A tree-loving hippie at heart, I do seek peace and love on a daily basis. Often this is translated into pieces I am working on. But when the ugly face of injustice surfaces, my art takes a dark turn. Everyone is born with the heart and soul of an artist. There is an innate desire to create and many stop when they receive no validation. Explore, create and imagine the impossible. Live beyond your limits of societal expectations and create the masterpieces that are buried deep within. I currently write a monthly column for the Villager Voice Magazine and I am finishing up two books for children.
InterestsI surround myself with books, rescued animals, plants and flowers. I like to make lists and work on several projects at once. Although I am an information junkie, I am most happy when I am creating. I love nature and spend as much time outdoors as possible. I like quirky things, the word lucky and anything associated with luck: clovers, horsehoes, etc.
Favorite musicI love Nina Simone! I also enjoy folk, classical, alternative, jazz, country, rap...
Favorite booksI read everything (except romance novels)! A few current favorites: What the Dog Saw, by Malcolm Gladwell One Second After by William R. Forstchen Drive, by Daniel H. Pink The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, by Rebecca Skloot PIRATE LATITUDES, by Michael Crichton HALF BROKE HORSES, by Jeannette Walls THE ART OF RACING IN THE RAIN, by Garth Stein THE ELEGANCE OF THE HEDGEHOG, by Muriel Barbery THE STORY OF EDGAR SAWTELLE, by David Wroblewski
