| Introduction | Hailing from eastern Washington, I tried my first "micro brew" in 1993 while attending the University of Idaho. The beer? Hales Ales Moss Bay Extra and after one sip I was hooked. Good, hoppy beers have been a theme of my life, from being a former pub owner in Seattle with 13 micro tap handles to my home brewing hobby.
