Introduction	John joined the Green Party in 1988 and ran for the Green Party in 2004, 2006 and 2008. John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a major in political science from Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario. John is a customer service representative for an industrial supply company in Stratford. He has been on the City of Stratford's Energy and Environment Committee and chaired the city's Bicycle Master Plan committee. He authored the city's Bicycle Friendly Master Plan. He is or has been involved with many county and community groups including Stratford's Civic Beautification and Environmental Awareness Committee, ECOPerth, Perth County Greenworks, C.A.R.E Stratford, The Stratford branch of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadron and Aids Action Perth. John and his wife, Diana, have lived in Stratford for thirteen years. He describes himself as fiscally conservative, socially progressive, and dedicated to preserving democracy and restoring and maintaining Canada's ecological heritage. John enjoys year-round bicycle commuting, reading, live music, sailing, skiing and amateur bartending which he occasionally does for charities such as the Perth County OSPCA and Gallery Stratford.
