| Introduction | It's funny - the first word I would use to describe myself would be Mom, but I think I spend a lot of time trying not to be defined by that, even though I really love being one. I have three kids that make me laugh (and sometimes cry) - Emma who is 9, Lily who is 7, and Henry who is 4. I am married to Danny, who is sarcastic, clever and kind- he makes having three kids and a crazy life together pretty cool. I love being a teacher - I teach 1st grade to some pretty fabulous kids in Lawrence, and I also work part-time at the Museum of Science in Boston. Our family moved to Amesbury in 2006 and after all of our roaming around Southern New England, we have finally found our home. All in all, we are pretty lucky - our life is noisy, busy, and frequently free of clean socks, but good. |
| Interests | Music, traveling (locally and eventually globally), reading lots of books (mostly fiction), learning how to grow things without killing them, learning how to play the acoustic guitar and eventually the bass and cello, going on good longs walks with my family, special event cooking (not everyday cooking, which is such a pain in the butt- kids should be born knowing how to make lunch for themselves) |
| Favorite movies | The Princess Bride, Anchorman, Love Actually, Harry Potter movies, So I Married and Axe Murderer |
| Favorite music | Van Morrison, Beatles, George Harrison, Paul Simon, Beastie Boys, early Liz Phair, Guster, Jack Johnson |
