| Introduction | Hi, I’m Meg Robinson an Irish/Dutch artist writer with Scottish connections. I’ve lived in sunny Andalucía, Spain for 26 years. In 2018 a DNA test informed me I’m half Jewish Lithuanian/Russian. That was a surprise. Having been adopted I had no idea where my father came from. Mystery half solved ! I’ve traveled extensively in South America. Now 8 years in remission from a no hope cancer prognosis, I’m loving life more than ever. I look for the sacred and the awesome in the everyday, and delight in sharing these stories in my writing and drawings. I’ve traveled off the beaten track always alone, since 996,, because that’s where I meet (extra)ordinary people and things happen! In the summer of 2018 I made a pilgrimage to visit the land of my Lithuanian ancestors. In the summer of 2019 I returned, then spent 4 weeks making art at TYPA, a Paper and Print museum in Tartu, Estonia. In September 2022 I spent a month's artists residency at the Fundacion Valpariso near Ameria in Spain, where my new art and videos sprang to life ! |
