| Introduction | My name is Jessica. This is the first story I have ever written. "Spirit of Hope" took its roots in my mind after I watched the movie Starwars: Rogue One in theaters when it first came out. With this piece, I wanted to explore more of the characters' motivations, dreams, and change "what could have been" into reality. The timeline is simple: It starts from moments before the Death Star's shockwave hits Scarif, and ends quite a bit later... (It's up to you to read until the end if you want to know!) I hope this is a story that touches your heart. A story that has you laughing along with the characters, empathizing with their loss, cheering alongside them when they each find their own form of happiness. One that changes your perspective of life in new ways, helping you learn new lessons- What it means to forgive, to break free from pain, to forge new friendships, persevere when the Dark Side threatens, and most of all, to find love and hope in each and every day.
