Introduction	I was born and brought up to be a bengali and only a bengali with the uncanny penchant for machher jhol and an equal distaste for anything that grows on trees...I was a pure non-vegetarian. I would those saturdays when my mother would try to force those leafy stuff down my throat on the pretext of some religious rituals on that day of the week. I was clueless that those greens were waiting to be an integral part of my life soon. Half a decade later here I am flipping dosas, dunking idlis in sambhar and cooling off with buttermilk...reason...the guy from Bangalore who stole my heart and took the vows with me. My recipes here are a reflection of the culture I was born into, the culture I was married into and also the culture I now live in.
