Introduction	My work is inspired by my interest in the Natural Environment and Humanity's coexistence with it. Images in the press of the rubbish left after the Glastonbury Festival have inspired me to focus on the recycling of rubbish when creating my artwork.I decided to use the footprint as a symbol of mans impact on the environment after reading the epitaph of a friends grandchild. "Even the smallest feet leave an everlasting footprint on our world" .In line with a number of other environmental artists e.g. John Dahlsen I intend to use personally collected rubbish as material for some of my artwork. The question I am asking myself should I try to create something aesthetically pleasing or something useful if my aim is to get the viewer to think about the benefits of recycling rubbish.
