| Introduction | From my early years I have been fascinated by the many wonders of our planet. My dreams first brought me all over Europe. All means of transportation were used: trains and buses, the thumb, airplanes, boats and of course my feet. I cherish a special love for my iron horse/pushbike which has carried me thousands and thousands of miles across European soil. In June 2004 I grasped the opportunity to finally set off on a magical journey throughout SE Asia, New Zealand and Australia. Some time after returning to Belgium my heart started suffering severe strokes of home-sickness for my beautiful beloved World and in February 2007 the story continued. On the menu this time was: India, Nepal and the South and Central Americas. Currently I have again returned to the land of the mussels and fries, contemplating about what else life will have in store for me and in the meantime going with the flow. (...) To my surprise I now bought a house of my own, wondering what a nomad like me is doing building up a sedimentary existence in between a pile of half-baked bricks. Soon I will have to mow the lawn while the whole wide world is still out there, in front of me, waiting to be further explored. |
