| Introduction | I am, shockingly, 29 years old. Sometimes I forget that. I just ceased being a graduate student, which is ironic because I just learned how to act like one. I love the Beatles, Matt Saracen's awkwardness, Jim & Pam's awesomeness, quirky movies, good friends, the feeling I get after a run, my puppy dog, and laughing uncontrollably. I used to resent my dissertation and the Republican Party, but the forces of light have vanquished both. I still resent human mortality and my own limits. I appreciate some instances of absurdity and I can't stand others. I feel both prematurely old and inexplicably young. I have one brother, who's a badass. I have two parents who love me. I have aunts and uncles and cousins and grandparents who are always there for me. I can't complain. I occasionally complain. Also, I am an idiot. |
