Introduction	Welcome! I’m embarking on an exploration of joyful and authentic learning. For the next year I plan to gather here my thoughts, questions and observations in an open-ended exploration of inspired and inspiring learning communities. I invite you to join the conversation! I’ve spent ten years teaching students ranging from six months to 21 years; the last three working with special needs students in NYC public schools. My experiences have convinced me that some of the common assumptions and practices of standardized education directly interfere with nurturing empowered citizens. I want to connect with and learn from the people who are seeking and building solutions.
