| Introduction | When my only sister's only daughter married in 2009, she asked me to write a poem to read at her wedding. I wrote "Love is the Answer" and read it during their ceremony. Tragically, in 2014, she asked me again to read the poem at her husband's funeral. He died suddenly and unexpectedly at age 41. I read in the same pulpit I had read five years previously. After the funeral service, my cousin's husband commented that I should write more. I was inspired and encouraged by that compliment. Also, as a way to deal with the loss, it was healing to me. From that day in 2014 until the inception of this blog, nearly 75 poems poured out from my inner self. That is why I named the blog Pouring. I can't seem to write fast enough to keep up with the words flowing out, so I must use the keyboard. It is soothing to me and I pass it along to you. I want it to be satisfying and filling to your soul. |
