| Introduction | I am a long-time patient suffering from chronic idiopathic intestinal pseudo-obstruction, gastroparesis, diffuse esophageal spasms, achalasia, gastroesophageal reflux disease, dysphagia, esophagitis, and a myriad of non-digestive diseases. In 1991, I was privileged to have started an organization dedicated to those with digestive motility diseases and disorders. The Association of Gastrointestinal Motility Disorders, Inc. (AGMD) is a nonprofit international organization dedicated to serving patients and family members affected by digestive motility disorders. In addition, AGMD serves as a resource and integral database for those in the medical and scientific communities. |
