| Introduction | I am an undergraduate student at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. I am currently working as a writing assistant with the CESL department. I began my academic career as a theater major with a concentration in performance. After writing for a collaborative project at Bradley University, I decided that my love of theater needed to branch out and my school loans needed to be trimmed a bit, so I moved back to the Quad Cities where I continued to explore my love for theater under a full tuition theater scholarship. While at the community college, I began studying Japanese language, culture, and history. I worked in the International/ESL office for a year and a half and developed a passion for other cultures. I also began working on personal writing projects, which led me to eventually pursue a major in English. After hearing about the Irish Studies program at SIUC, I decided that this was where I'd finish my BA degree. So here I am! |
