| Introduction | I’m a freelance writer currently based in Ontario. I pen humorous & heartbreaking observations on re-rooting a family of five in Canada, life as a cultural nomad, marriage across racial/cultural boundaries and managing Asperger's and Bipolar II. Writing helps me stay sane, Ayurveda keeps me healthy, yoga and running keep me fit and my husband keeps me going. My award-winning blog expatlog.com has been called 'off the beaten track, sincere and non-conformist.' (See Dad? THAT"S where that attitude got me) It records the vagaries and challenges of inter-cultural existence, campaigns to reduce mental health stigma, and documents my progress in a research study for CAMH (Canada’s leading mental health research facility and one of the largest in the world), investigating mindfulness in depression relapse prevention. A cultural chameleon since I first emigrated aged eight, I also write for newspapers, magazines and a range of expat and mental health websites about the stuff life chunders on us when we go against the grain.
