| Introduction | My name is Sue. I'm a Southern Cali girl born and raised, but I can't help but feel that I have been reincarnated from an ol' Southern Belle, most likely living on a beautiful and ample plantation in Georgia or South Carolina somewhere, spending my days caring after chickens, churning sweet cream butter, baking yeasty breads, preserving fresh juicy tomatoes, crisp cucumbers and mouth-watering jams, crocheting baby blankets, sewing flour sack aprons and enjoying my simple life to it's fullest. The highlight of my days was probably waking every morning to roosters cock-a-doodle-doing as I brew strong hot coffee to enjoy on my huge wrap-around porch while watching the sun rise. Who knows....maybe some day I'll retire to a place like that or maybe my home in Southern Cali will have to "pretend" it's a plantation house in the south. Either way, I'll continue to do what I love which is cooking, baking, gardening, decorating, loving and living just like a Southern Belle at heart! |
