| Introduction | Born and raised in Berkeley and Oakland, CA. He began his musical journey in elementary school studying trumpet and appearing in the chorus of a school musical.In middle school he began taking piano. All the while interested in lyrics of songs he heard on the radio. In High school he went onto study conga drumming and found this to be another passion along with songwriting. He played for the high school Afro-Haitian dance classes as well as with the Jazz band. In college he studied Jazz arranging, voice & music theory and business courses. In the 90’s he thrived on the SF Bay Area's Acid Jazz scene. He played with a group called "Know Jazz.” Co-produced 2 CDs one titled "Unsigned and Ready to Deliver", received a rave review in Hitmakers Magazine and "Take a Hit of This..." , had a song “Funky Maiden” included on Moonshine Records compilation CD “The Speakeasy Collective. ” He released 2 Jazz CDs and has worked with many other artists and producers including Genevieve Goings, Joel Jaffe, Brely Evans, Simply E, PC Muñoz, Victoria Theodore, Terry Bradford, Yuko Tamura and currently performs with R&B legends Con Funk Shun as their Percussionist. |
