| Introduction | I live like every moment is going to be my last. At least I try to. I breathe the same air that other people breathe, sometimes a little less frequently because I'm trying to get the most out of one breath that I can. I race for the crazy dreams, the ones people say are unattainable, only to stop myself midway and tell myself I'm crazy like they say. I snatch at the air, in feeble attempts to grip onto the pain that similarly grips me, if only to be close enough to toss it all away. I breathe. I dream. I feel pain. I'm broken. I'm like every other human out there, only I won't let the pain destroy me, I won't stop breathing, and I restrain myself just enough to not let the dreams overwhelm reality. I'm Christ's child. |
