Introduction	I am a mother to a 27 month old beautiful girl, who was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease at 4 months old on May 2007. My daughter was very fortunate to have been placed in the hands of an experienced, educated group of doctors who diagnosed her correctly in the early stages of KD, as a consequence she suffered no long-term damage. Their early and correct diagnosis made a huge difference in my daughters life, health and tiny precious heart.Until there is a test given to detect KD, and until there is a reason to why certain children are more prone to KD than others, raising KD awareness is so vital to prevent misdiagnosed cases.
