Introduction	I create a visual language uniting harmony and balance, color and light, scale and tension, form and content. But I also create an idiomatic language, a language of cues and puns and symbols and allusion of cultural references and perceptual interferences that challenge both the intellect and the eye. In order to introduce these cues and puns, I take an interest in everything that goes on around me, I have curiosity about areas other than graphic design: politics, environment, business, technology, art, ten-pin bowling, mud-wrestling, sewing, dancing. Being culturally aware is more important than your technical ability and academic qualifications. This is vital in being a graphic designer.
