| Introduction | I'm a freelance writer and actor in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. I'm the author of a great many books on a great many subjects, ranging from computer books to science books and biographies for children to young adult fantasy and science fiction novels to adult science fiction novels (my biggest publisher is New York's DAW Books). I'm also an actor who has performed both professionally and just for fun in numerous plays, musicals and operas over the past 25 years. And finally, I'm a transplanted American, born in Silver City, New Mexico, who came to Saskatchewan from Tulia, Texas, in 1967 and have remained here ever since (except for a stint attending Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas, in the late 1970s.) Before I became a freelancer I was a reporter, editor, photographer and cartoonist for the Weyburn Review weekly newspaper, then communications officer for the Saskatchewan Science Centre. I'm married and have one daughter. And I think that's probably all anyone could possibly wish to know about me...and then some. |
