| Introduction | Full Discloser: My name is Irene and I’m a lazy foodie – I try half of the restaurants I want to and am haphazard about where I go. My list of “Restaurants to Try” is ever-growing. And yet, I only cross a new restaurant off my list on the rare and special occasion. In fact, I don’t really leave the neighborhood of Wicker Park in Chicago, where I live and play, as much as I should. And I end up going back to my staples again and again. But I prioritize experiences and I will leave comfort for it, without looking back. I love sharing a meal with friends and family, whether it be out or at home. I find eating out a facile way to explore the world and connect with others. I find cooking for others a way of nurturing those I love and giving back for all the great things that have been given to me. There are no bad reviews on my site and the words dedicated to each restaurant are short and sweet. It is set up as a quick hit and resource for someone looking for a spot for a certain experience. This blog is an attempt to inspire myself and others to try a new restaurant, a recipe, a food, and to get out there to experience the world…through eating! |
