| Introduction | I grew up in Honolulu, Hawai'i and attended the University of Hawai'i at Manoa where I completed a BEd. in Elementary Art, an MEd. in Elementary Language Arts, and an MLIS - A Master's Degee in Library and Information Studies.
I am thirteen happy years into my career as a middle school librarian at an independent school in Los Angeles. Prior to my life as a librarian I worked in the Hawai'i public school system for thirteen years where I had the privilege of teaching in the first, second, third, and fourth grades. In 2001 I moved to Los Angeles to enter the insane, but wonderful world of the middle school librarianship where, truly, every day is an adventure! I was born in the year of the Dragon and in my spare time I love eating, sleeping, and watching copious amounts of TV. As I see it, life rarely gets much better than when one can eat, lie on a sofa, and watch TV at the same time. Only in the last few years have I come to learn how to text on my phone, but I am quite highly skilled with a TV remote. |
