| Introduction | I've been designing gardens for other people for decades. And so I'm only twelve years into the creation of my own on a couple of country acres in Rhode Island. About two acres, almost enough room to grow thousands of different plants with a density and intensity no sane client would ever permit. These are the gardens of a lifetime—well, the gardens of my lifetime. In another ten years the gardens will be just about done, and finally ready for a complete re-thinking. |
