Introduction	I have been a teacher in North Carolina Public schools for the last 34 years. I have taught US History, Civics and Economics, AP US and AP European History, as well as a course entitled Conversations in Diversity. I have been a high school basketball coach (retired) and tennis coach, cross country coach, and soccer coach. I have 3 great children and a wonderful wife who, too, is a public school teacher. Social justice is a burning passion of mine. This blog is my way to reflect on America and hopefully get others to do the same. Remember, "democracy isn't something you believe in...it's something you DO!" I hope this blog may encourage others to become more civic-minded; better informed. For the sake of American democracy--we must!
