| Introduction | I am a writer for The Independent magazine and a research coordinator for a think tank called Fanaka Kwa Wote, both based in Kampala, Uganda. I am generally interested in the political economy of development, particularly in East Africa. I will be conducting research as a Fulbright U.S. Student in Uganda in 2008-2009 and will begin a doctoral degree in Political Science at Stanford University in the fall of 2009.
