| Introduction | Formed 31 Oct 1942, 187 Foothills is the local squadron of the Air Cadets League of Canada.A national youth program open to all persons aged 12 to 19 with a focus on citzenship, leadership, physical fitness and aviation. The Squadron has moved from location to location over the years with no permanent address. To provide effective training, an Air Cadet Squadron needs space. Not being located near a DND facility, our Squadron decided to build our own 6000 square foot building located at the High River Airport. This action offers a potenential recruitment area over a 80 kilometer radius. |
