| Introduction | Made my first knife, or a reasonable facsimile thereof, at my Great Uncle's farm at the age of 8. Uncle Walt was a mentor and teacher for me in many, many things. He showed me how to shape and file a piece of band saw blade into a usable knife. He taught me to use a broken branch of hickory to shape a handle, and to securely fastened it to the knife I had constructed. He then taught me to carve with my new treasure. Been making blades since then. |
