| Introduction | Life sometimes sucks. I was molested as a child, raped as a teen and abused as a wife. I buried myself in books and relationships to help numb those self-deprecating feelings. When my fifth marriage started heading south, I began writing as a panacea of sorts to help heal my own scars, completing my first novel, 'Heartshaped Shards' in just seven months. I really never seriously intended to publish it, but friends and family insisted I do just that after reading the story. One friend said, "It has to be shared! I think it could really help someone else. If just one person is helped, then it's worth it, isn't it?" So, I took a leap of faith and put it into the public's hands. I live in the southwestern United States with hubs #6 (and seriously, this one is the last!). Mr. Adorable happens to closely resemble the hero of 'Heartshaped Shards', which is totally weird, because I met him after I wrote it. So, I was writing our love story and didn't even know it. Wow. Happy endings really do happen. You just have to wait for them! |
