| Introduction | Marie-Louise has more than 30 years of international marketing experience in retailing and merchandising management. Part of her total years of experience in the retail industry was spent in Asia where she was the General Manager Merchandising for 15 years. Prior to that, she worked in Denmark as International Marketing Manager for Royal Copenhagen Retail, and as Vice-Director-soft Lines with AC Illums A/S in Copenhagen. She is today Managing Director of RMS – Retail Management Solutions. She has acquired in-depth knowledge in merchandising, marketing, promotions and retail store operations, is particularly knowledgeable in business and merchandising concepts. She successfully developed many profitable private labels and In-House Brands. She is known to be a People Developer and career shaper. With her extensive retail experience, she has developed and delivered 2-day courses on Retail Buying for the benefit of buyers and merchandising managers of various retail organizations in Asia. The book "The Art of Retail Buying - An Insider's Guide to the Best Practices from the Industry" is being published by John Wiley & Sons, publish date December 2008. |
