About me

Location New Zealand
Introduction I first got into photography in the mid 1960s when studying NZ history: it was a clear case of one picture being worth a thousand words. It's always been as a viewer, not a practitioner. I'm interested in the image, not the process. In the early '70s when PhotoForum was established I became interested in contemporary photography and that has never wavered. I curated my first photography show in 1971 and published my first piece in the mid 1970s and have never really stopped. I'm still keen to look at images and remain excited by the medium.
