| Introduction | I’ve always been curious about the world, it's workings, and the people in it. However it wasn’t until I started writing dining articles as part of my job at City Guide and Promenade Magazines that I developed a passion for fine cuisine and an acute interest in the people who comprise the culinary world. It came upon me to share my experiences in this interesting and delicious world, so herein you will find my studies and stories of the most macrocosmic microcosm of New York City society - food. Everyone in New York, in fact everyone on earth, eats - but as any “foodie” will tell you in New York there is a massive categorical difference between eating and dining out. It’s the culinary Mecca of the United States if not the world, home to an estimated 8.2 Million and change, and claim to almost 19,000 restaurants where the average cost of dinner is just under $40 including the tip. The restaurant world harbors some of the nicest, the meanest, the funniest, and the craziest people I’ve ever met or heard tell of but they’ve all got one thing in common, it’s their livelihood to feed us.
