| Introduction | I'm not an artist by training. I've never even taking a painting class. The classes I have taken are in biostatistics and organic chemistry! But I love to paint, and it's a focal point of my free time. I actually find that I get agitated when I haven't painted in a while. This blog has evolved so many times, it's hard to count. It's been a learning experience for me, and I've realized that I'm really not very good at continually writing pieces that appeal to a wide audience, or gain followers, or anything that social media would dictate as being essential in this time of interconnectivity. I know I'm bad at social media. But I'm good at watercolor media. So instead of making this a labored effort to gain a following, I'm going to be using this space to tell the stories of my artwork and how the paintings came to be. What they mean to me, where applicable. And, possibly most amusing, how I definitely didn't expect them to turn out the way that they did! So that's me. I hope you enjoy looking through my little watercolor garden. |
