Introduction	I plan to travel every couple of years, on trips of 3 to 5 months. Many years ago, I spent one year backpacking around Europe. I caught the travel bug bad, and now, I have the time to travel. In 2008 I spent 4 months traveling throughout much of SE Asia. In 2010, chicken buses took me through all 7 countries in Central America. In October 2012, I'm heading to Nepal to trek for a few weeks, and then spend a month or so in India and Sri Lanka. I'll head to Burma from Bangkok, and then off to the Philippines, before flying home in Feb/2013. I stay in budget accommodation, and like to stay at least 3 to 5 days in each place, and if I really like an area, I'll spend a few weeks there. I make a lot of decision on the fly, and love the sense of discovery, adventure, and meeting the local people that comes with traveling. I love to just head off and explore, and see what's around the next corner. Getting lost is not always a bad thing. At home in Canada, I love to ski, hike, and mountain bike, and have recently taken up road cycling. I have always been interested in photography.
