| Introduction | I have been married 15 years to my husband, Andy. In 2007 we became pregnant with twin girls after IVF. The girls were born at 29 weeks. We knew Brooklyn had a heart defect and would need surgery shortly after birth. She had open heart surgery at 2 weeks old and sadly became an angel at 6 weeks old. Our other daughter, Aubrey, spent nearly 3 months in the NICU before she was released on January 8th, 2008. When she was 2 years old she was diagnosed with suspected Childhood Apraxia of Speech. In November 2009 we welcomed our surprise miracle Addyson to our family. A View Into Our Lives is a daily view into our lives as a family of four. I have the best of both worlds and get to spend summers at home with my girls, but also get to use my brain at work. I teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students in grades 1-6 in a Special Day Class. I recently started a new blog, A View Into My Classroom to share the happenings in my classroom. |
