| Introduction | I am an aging builder who is keenly interested in all things to do with building. I have spent my career working with earth, wood, stone, ceramics, landscaping, gardening, and remodeling among other things. As remodeler I have learned plumbing, wiring and heating. As part of working on historical renovations I have learned the secret life of buildings, how they were built at specific times in history, with the materials at hand, using the tools available. Through it all, I have been interested in passive solar energy and alternative building styles. The one thing I was not interested in was running a business. As a result I most always worked as a one man show, self employed, under the radar. |
