| Introduction | The Phrase "It Won't Happen That Way" was created by Joyce several years ago. We have used the phrase often, when events or plans "don't happen" the way we anticipate. John's diagnosis with Stage 4 colon cancer in February 2014 was clearly an event when "it won't happen that way" changed our lives. This necessitated retiring earlier than planned for the both of us, as we had "Swank Counseling" for close to 30 years. Joyce was the business manager, and John was the mental health counselor. So 2015 is the year we are feeling "retired." This blog is collection of "Health Updates" that John has been writing since his diagnosis. We will post other items as they come ups, such as photos, writings and sharing of hobbies. And, of course, items about Erin. |
